AS Media Preliminary Task - Flat Plans
Our first task was to create a basic design of our cover and contents pages.

As I have already mentioned I decided to keep the design simple and uncluttered to avoid alienating potential readers.

AS Media Preliminary Task - Introduction
I have been given a preliminary project to create a design for a new college magazine to be aimed either at students or staff. It needs to be completely original, starting with a flat plan and ending with a fully designed cover.
I've chosen to target students, so the cover needs to clearly show that this is the target audience. Obviously this is in many ways a wider target audience than most magazines cater to because although almost everyone reading it would be around the ages of 16-20 and be a student, those are the only areas that every single reader will have in common, there won't be a huge amount of shared interest. To deal with this I will try and make the magazine cover very clear, uncluttered and modern.
